About the Producer
Jesús Aguirre Panamá founded El Injerto in 1874 and planted the first coffee around 1900. Today the fourth generation of the Aguirre family manages the farm, which has placed in the Cup of Excellence finals fifteen times and won seven first place awards. Coffee pickers are paid well and provided housing, food, and recreation areas on the farm, so many return each harvest season and bring experience with El Injerto’s high standards.
